Tea set
This refined three-piece tea set (a teapot and two cups), crafted by the renowned Gyokko pottery in Tokoname, is designed to savor every last drop of the umami flavors of high-quality gyokuro and sencha teas.
An exceptional, handcrafted piece
The Gyokko master potter meticulously crafts each piece. Thanks to the perfect fit of the lid and body, achieved through the traditional suri-awase technique characteristic of Tokoname-yaki, the tea stream stops abruptly when pouring.
A shiboridashi system without a metal filter
The interior has no metal filter: the tea flows through fine grooves along the edge of the spout. This allows the leaves to unfurl freely without getting caught, directly releasing the tea's aromas and umami.
The soil of Tokoname, for a smoother infusion
Rich in iron, the clay specific to Tokoname-yaki reduces some of the bitterness and astringency of the tea, for a particularly smooth mouthfeel.
