SPECIAL EDITIONS ON THE THEME OF JAPANESE PRINTS

This collection brings together 3 Japanese green teas, Aya, Hatsune and Akane and represents Japanese prints of Mount Fuji through 3 different points of view. Inspired by the series of prints "the 36 views of Mount Fuji" and "The 100 views of Mount Fuji. 'Edo', this collection showcases Japan, its landscapes and traditional everyday life. You will find typical Japanese prints created by artists Utagawa Hiroshige and Katsushika Hokusai who helped bring this art to the top.

    Probably one of Hokusai's most famous prints
    with the great wave off Kanagawa. This frontal and close-up view of Mount Fuji in the foreground highlights its grandiose side. The red hues of Mount Fuji are the colors perceived according to the position of the sun, at dawn or at sunset, in good weather. This also explains its other name, "Fuji in clear weather".

    SENCHA "AYA" 

    Long steamed sencha green tea,
    It releases smooth and creamy flavors.

    "Aya" is a sencha that has been steamed longer than regular sencha, a process that produces a smooth green tea with a magnified taste that is not very bitter or astringent, and the leaves can be steeped several times. Her dress is a dazzling light green, her scent evokes freshly cut herbs. On the palate, the tea is round, with substance, between herbaceous aromas, of vegetable broth, through tasty notes of melted butter.

    We can see the traditional Japanese porticoes or "Toori" and Mount Fuji in the background. It represents a sacred place, the 2 rocks "Meoto Iwa", literally the "married rocks", located near Futami in Ise in Japan. These sacred rocks symbolize the 2 creative deities of Japan linked by the bonds of marriage: Izanagi the masculine deity and Izanami, the feminine deity.

    HÔJICHA "HATSUNE"

    Roasted green tea with the scent of anzu apricot
    Japanese mixed with cinnamon.

    Quality Hôjicha roasted tea, mixing green tea leaves and stems, Hatsune is low in theine due to its roasting, but also easy to digest thanks to its absence of tannins. Its orange to amber color releases a very cinnamon nose with toasted accents, then becomes full and aromatic on the palate, with cinnamon, Japanese apricot Anzu, and notes of dried fruits such as hazelnut, all merging harmoniously with a lot of roundness.

    This print is part of a series called "The 100 Views of Edo" and depicts with a linear perspective the bustling shopping stalls of a bustling Tokyo district (formerly known as Edo). The neighborhood is dominated by Mount Fuji, above
    mist. Utagawa Hiroshige is, along with Katsushika Hokusai, one of the last very big names in ukiyo-e in Japan.

    Akane is a fresh and lively tea for lovers of subtle scented teas. The Japanese green tea base is complemented by pink pepper, marigold petals and mallow. Its clear and shiny yellow liquor delivers citrus scents, before revealing a palate mixing grapefruit and amanatsu, a Japanese tangerine refreshed by the freshness of pepper and the sweetness of flowers. An elegant and long bouquet on the palate.
