Japanese sake
Sachihime Tokubetsu Junmai sake has an intense initial aroma of fruit; it's lovely and delicate. A beautiful freshness emerges. The attack is mellow with tart fruits like apple. Aromas of brown rice develop in the mid-palate, along with soy and mushroom notes, and the umami intensifies. The finish is slightly bitter, accompanied by notes of yellow apple and star fruit.
Sachihime Brewery was founded in 1934 in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture. The name Sachihime, meaning "princess of happiness" in Japanese, was chosen by the master brewer in honor of his daughter. Historically, the prefecture was renowned for its rice production, and it was therefore natural that the art of sake brewing flourished there.
Their pursuit of a fresh and balanced taste has been recognized many times internationally, notably at the IWC competition in Great Britain. Sachihime Brewery welcomes visitors from all over the world, offering a unique experience with tastings of their house sake and an original non-alcoholic sake ice cream, reflecting their creativity and commitment to excellence.
