TASTING NOTE
Muscat: The Generous Bouquet of a Fruity Grand Cru
Lupicia's Muscat tea is an ode to indulgence and finesse. This iconic blend is not based on a single tea, but on a blend of black teas from three different origins, including Indonesia. This complex base has been specially crafted to blend harmoniously with the sweetness of white grapes, creating a sensory experience without any harshness.
The Intensity of Muscat Grapes
From the moment you open it, your nose is struck by an intense and characteristic fruity aroma. Muscat, the quintessential sweet grape, brings an aromatic dimension that immediately evokes the summer sun. This is a truly "fruity" tea, where vegetal and fruit notes become one.
A Blend of 3 Origins for Unique Smoothness
The use of three complementary black teas results in a base that is both robust and supple:
- The Base: A blend selected for its smoothness and its ability to carry aromas without bitterness.
- The Profile: The black tea literally melts into the fruit flavor. On the palate, the tea becomes full-bodied and indulgent, offering a silky texture.
- The Bouquet: Beyond the grape, honeyed notes complete this generous bouquet, reminiscent of the richness of sweet and dessert white wines.

Preparation Tips
Muscat is one of the most versatile teas in our collection. Its preparation influences the perception of its honeyed notes:
- Temperature: For a hot brew, use spring or filtered water, ideally between 85°C and 95°C. This allows the structure of the black tea to fully develop while enhancing the aroma of the grapes.
- Infusion Time: Infuse for 2'30 to 3 minutes. This is the ideal time to obtain a balanced brew without bitterness.
- Dosage: Use approximately 2.5g to 3g of tea (one heaped teaspoon) per 150ml of water.
- The Essential Iced version: This tea is considered by many to be the best black tea in the range to enjoy iced. When cold-brewed (Mizudashi), the "fruit juice" aspect of the Muscat grapes takes center stage, offering an incredibly refreshing and naturally sweet beverage.
